1. Scope

These terms describe the intended use of CarNotify. CarNotify is a free online service that lets registered vehicle owners create a QR code through which they can receive notifications without publishing their personal contact details.

2. Free use

CarNotify is currently provided free of charge. There is no subscription and no hidden fee for registration, vehicle setup, QR-card generation or the standard notification function.

3. User responsibilities

Users must provide accurate account and vehicle information, protect their login credentials and use CarNotify only for lawful purposes. QR cards should be mounted so they do not obstruct the driver's field of view or create a safety hazard.

4. Prohibited misuse

Spam, harassment, automated mass messages, attempts to bypass rate limits, manipulation of QR tokens, unauthorized access and other abusive use are prohibited. CarNotify may temporarily or permanently restrict access where necessary to protect users or the service.

5. Availability

Continuous availability cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, technical faults, hosting problems or external services may temporarily affect the website or email delivery.

6. No emergency service

CarNotify is not an emergency service and does not replace police, fire brigade, ambulance, roadside assistance or other official services. In urgent situations, contact the appropriate emergency service directly.

7. Privacy

Details on the processing of personal data, QR tokens, email delivery and abuse protection are provided in the privacy policy.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated when the service, technical functions or legal requirements change. The current version is published on this website.
